Although virtually any light source can be shone through the rear light portal of the refractometer, this well-though-out lamp is designed for the task, with its sodium wavelength light, simple battery operation, easy On/Off switch, and adjustable feet.

Refractometer light

consistent light
we needed a consistent light source for our refractometer and this works very well. Had to get used to yellowish tint but we are now getting repeatable results Hector Cuello on Nov 25th 2019

It works, but is small and the light is not very bright
The refractometer lamp is the only one I could find that was competitively priced and delivered promptly. It does the job overall, but I have to place the lamp on a box so that it could reach the refractometer (from GIA), which is a little annoying. Also, the light is not super bright, so the reading scale is not lit up brightly. Overall though it’s a decent lamp that does the job. Unknown on Aug 9th 2019
