Use this "A Students’ Guide to Spectroscopy" in conjunction with the OPL Spectroscope. That tool does not come with instructions per se, so you may want this book for at least that. But more to the point, this guide includes the color spectrums for the main gem species, so that you can match up what you see through the scope, with the corresponding gem.
This item typically ships within one business day.
I had purchased a spectroscope (not the OPL, but one just like it) and was really needing a good guide that examples the color spectrums for various gems to go along with it. This book provides just what I was looking for, and makes for a great companion to the spectroscope. Thank you!! David S. on Dec 18th 2024
I own Anderson and Payne's "The Spectroscope and Gemmolgy book which is "The Source" with it's history, theory and applications.Learning for me is easier when see the actual colors and the OPL Students Guide does a good job for me.
Thank you for having it available.
