Using the GemPro 300, with Mineralab's Universal Specific Gravity Kit, you can expect accurate specific gravities on stones down to about .4 carats.

With its oversized Stainless Steel Weighing Platform, and Draft Shield lid that hinges up or can be removed, the Gem Pro 300 fits very nicely with the Universal Specific Gravity Kit.

The control panel features a handy Mode button for switching between any of 6 different units of measurement, including Carats and Grams (see table below for details.)

The unit has a red backlit LCD display making readouts easy to see even in low light conditions. To preserve the optional battery power under extended use, the backlight can be turned off.  Or, you can operate the scale with the included AC adapter.

Unlike most other pocket carat scales, the GemPro 300 features adjustable leveling feet and an integrated bubble level indicator.  The scale includes a hard plastic carry case, which also fits the accessories, including a 10g cal mass, weighing dish, AC adapter, and instructions.
